Terms of Service

By accessing or using SimpleTaskTools ("the Service", "the Site", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

SimpleTaskTools provides a collection of free online utilities ("Tools") and an optional developer REST API. You may use the Tools for personal, educational, or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Use the Tools to process material you do not have the right to process (e.g., copyrighted PDFs you don't own, photos you didn't take, etc.).
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or abuse the public API. Repeated abuse may result in IP bans.
  • Use the Webhook Test Simulator to receive, store, or relay illegal content (CSAM, malware payloads, doxxing data, etc.). Webhook URLs are public — do not send sensitive production data to them.
  • Use AI-powered tools (Tone Formalizer, Brand Context) to generate content that promotes hate, violence, harassment, or self-harm; that impersonates a real person without consent; or that violates the underlying LLM provider's usage policies.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where allowed by law.
  • Scrape, mirror, or systematically harvest the Site or its API beyond reasonable rate limits.
  • Disable, interfere with, or circumvent any security features.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site (text, design, code, logos) is © SimpleTaskTools. The names of third-party tools, formats, and trademarks (e.g., "PDF", "JSON", "AES-256", "Stripe") are the property of their respective owners.

You retain all rights to content you process through our Tools. We claim no ownership of the data you input.

4. Public API

Our developer API has the following terms:

  • Free tier: 100 requests/day per IP without an API key, 1,000/day with a free key. Pro and Enterprise tiers have higher limits.
  • API responses must not be re-bundled and resold as a standalone API.
  • You may use the API in commercial products provided you do not exceed reasonable usage and you do not store API keys in client-side code that ships to end users.
  • We may revoke API keys that violate these Terms with no advance notice.

5. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • That the Tools will produce error-free output for every input.
  • That the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • That AI-generated content (Tone Formalizer, Brand Context) is accurate, appropriate, or fit for any particular purpose. Always review AI output before publishing or distributing it.
  • That the Loan Calculator's output should be relied on for financial decisions. Consult a qualified financial advisor.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SimpleTaskTools and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, profits, or business, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months (which, for free users, is $0).

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SimpleTaskTools from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

8. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for 30 days. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Sections 3 (IP), 5 (Disclaimers), 6 (Liability), 7 (Indemnification), and 11 (Governing Law) survive termination.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
